Graduation Diploma & Cap

Guest Information

Guest Attire

The Meyer Sports Complex is air conditioned or heated as the weather dictates. We will make every effort to keep the temperature at a comfortable level; however, it may be desirable to use a layered-approach for wardrobe selections on this day. This is a formal academic event, so business attire would be appropriate.

Seating and Other Tips

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis (both floor and bleacher seating). As the ceremony is heavily attended, we suggest that family members and friends arrive early. Doors will open at 9:15 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. ceremony, and at 1:45 p.m. for the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. If you are holding the College tickets for your guests, you may leave them at the will call table just inside the main doors to the Meyer Sports Complex. Your guests may pick up the tickets when they arrive for the ceremony.

Special note: The processional will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. (College) and 2:30 p.m. (TEDS/TGS). If your guests arrive at that time or later, they will not be seated until after the processional and opening prayer have concluded. Please let them know that they need to arrive early! In addition, if someone needs to leave the auditorium during the commencement address, they will not be allowed to re-enter until the speaker has concluded.

In keeping with the dignity and significance of the day, and for the safety and well-being of our youngest and oldest guests, please ask your family members to refrain from bringing noisy items, such as air horns, etc. In addition, flowers and gifts may be presented to graduates only after the ceremony, as you are unable to carry these items with you during the processional.
